Who we are
This shop is operated by Chawang Shop (Hanshan Tea studio), Kunming, Yunnan, China. We are the ones who decide how your data is used (in EU terms: the data controller).

What we collect and why

We do not ask for any data we do not need, and we never sell or rent your data to anyone.
Payments
We do not collect or store credit card numbers. When your order is ready we calculate the exact postage and send you a PayPal payment request by e-mail. The payment itself happens on PayPal's side, under PayPal's own privacy policy.
Who else sees your data
- Postal and courier services — China Post, EMS, DHL and their partner carriers receive the delivery address they need to bring the parcel to you.
- Customs authorities — for international parcels we are required to declare the contents and the recipient.
- PayPal — when you pay a payment request we send you.
- Our web hosting provider — the server where this shop runs.
Nobody else. We do not share your data for advertising purposes.
Where your data is processed
Our shop is run from China, so if you order from the European Union your data leaves the EEA. It is used only to fulfil your order, as described above.
How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept as long as accounting and tax rules require. Account data is kept while your account exists — if you ask us to delete your account, we delete it. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what data we hold about you, and give you a copy of it,
- correct anything that is wrong,
- delete your data (except records we must keep for accounting),
- stop using your data for the newsletter.
Write to chawangshop@gmail.com and we will answer as soon as we can. If you have an account, you can also see and change most of your data yourself under Your account. Customers in the European Union also have the right to complain to their national data protection authority.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser. This shop uses only the cookies it needs to work:
