Vintage Chinese Blue & White "Four Occupations" Porcelain Plate
This is an antique Chinese blue and white porcelain dish, likely a folk kiln (Minyao) piece from Qing dynasty. The central medallion features an auspicious bird. Surrounding it, the outer panels depict the classic 'Four Occupations' (Fishing, Woodcutting, Farming, and Reading), representing the four fundamental livelihoods and virtues of ancient Chinese society, conveying an ideal of peaceful, pastoral life. The dish features a scalloped rim, loose and rustic hand-painted brushwork typical of folk kilns, and a square blue seal mark on the base, showing natural iron spots on the unglazed foot ring. Condition: There is small hairline in the middle, but it's not affect using. Otherwise it's good for it's age. Diameter: 13cm
