Geden Shan (Geden mountain) is one of Six famous tea mountains in Xishuanbanna. It´s old and traditional home of puerh tea with long history. Gedeng once flourished during the Yuan Dynasty but a rapid decline began with the social turbulence. Tea production decreased because of wars and epidemics in the Qing dynasty. There are about 0.4 square kilometers beautiful ancient tea garden still remaining.
There are large and small varietal tea trees in Gedeng. This cake is made of spring sun-dried small varietal tea trees material from 2002 in traditional “sha-qing” (kill-green) processing in wok. It was pressed medium by traditional manner with stone. Whole leaves can be well separated.
This cake was stored few years in humid place in Banna and later in Kunming dry warehouse since 2007.
Oragne sparkish tea liquor. The tea is full and rounded in mouth, smooth with great aftertaste. Honey sweet with light floral aroma, balanced without astringency.
Limited quantity in our shop. After long term storage in Kunming, the tea gradually lost moisture and become dark, dry and break easily. Now each cake weighs only about 385g.
